Melissa Leitman

Partnership Coordinator Team Leader, Brooklyn District 17 & Staten Island District 31

Melissa provides individual support for partners in Brooklyn and Staten Island to ensure that their collaborations have a maximum impact on student achievement. She also oversees a team of three partnership coordinators and is responsible for helping codify the Partnership Team’s best practices as well as managing its technology and data needs.

Melissa has a background in program development and policy analysis focusing on youth services. Prior to joining PENCIL, she worked at the International Organization for Adolescents (IOFA) on their girls’ leadership and youth trafficking prevention initiatives. A native Brooklynite, Melissa holds an MPA from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
