PENCIL School Donation Programs
PENCIL has created the following programs that help to streamline the process through which business partners can make donations of various types to their schools.
PENCIL Pass-Through Program
The PENCIL Pass-Through Program gives partners the opportunity to provide financial support to a particular program or programs at their school. Because public schools are generally not tax-exempt organizations, the program enables individual and corporate partners to donate money to PENCIL, a tax-exempt organization, which then makes the donation to the designated school partner. The PENCIL Box
The PENCIL Box website provides a vehicle through which companies or individuals can donate books, musical instruments, computers, furniture, science equipment, art supplies, and other quality goods. The site is entirely user-driven: Donors can visit the site to post donated goods directly, and deserving schools can access donations and contact donors directly to arrange for pick-up. Donations to the site are fully tax-deductible.
