Dave Barger (Ogilvy Advertisement)Dave Barger, President and CEO of JetBlue Airways, has been an integral part of the PENCIL movement for years.

A former PENCIL Partner at PS 153 and a current PENCIL Partner at Aviation High School, Barger also serves as Chair of PENCIL’s Board of Directors. JetBlue Airways has also hosted high school students for the PENCIL Fellows Program, which provides high-potential high school students with paid internships and career development opportunities.

So we were absolutely delighted to see Forbes’ profile of Barger, which discussed his views on leadership, the evolving role of business in the community, and education.

Discussing the PENCIL Partnership Program, Barger noted that one “contributing factor to PENCIL’s success is the integration among family members, staff, and administration.  Everyone has skin in the game.  When it works right, the alignment among everyone is driven by a single goal.”
